UV Debatterizers

The use of UV rays, as an alternative to traditional chlorine-disinfecting systems, offers the following advantages:

Disinfectant action without adding chemical additives
No alteration of smell, taste and clarity of the water
No formation of residual substances or harmful by-products
Continuous availability of disinfected water
Minimal encumbrance and simplicity of installation
Low running costs and minimum maintenance

Description

The disinfection of water through ultraviolet light is a technology successfully used for several years in the treatment of drinking water and in other sectors of industry and services.

UV light penetrates through the plasma membrane of the cell and is absorbed by the nucleic acid (DNA), causing a manipulation of its genetic information and inhibiting the reproductive capacity of the cell.

It is a natural physical process capable of immediately destroying pathogenic microorganisms and eliminating 99.99% of bacteria, molds, yeasts, protozoa and viruses possibly present in water.
